@asmartbear most cheap shared hosting companies don’t support node. Calypso seems to really benefit a WP specific multi-site architecture
@technosailor front-end scalability is just a different issue.
@technosailor it’s just a different challenge. Scalability isn’t as much of an issue on the back end, but user responsiveness is.
Re: #calypso – does client-side JS talking to a php-based rest api make sense, or does that just defeat the purpose?
@technosailor caching today on the front-end is well understood. A more responsive back-end “app” is most welcome.
@technosailor sounds like a project I did back in my pre-b5 days. WP just for admin, spitting out flat xml to be rendered. Maintence hell.
